PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Champion Mill Hotel & Conference Center was built for the Champion Coated Paper Company in 1906 and added in 1925. This historic brick building with large steel windows was transformed into a hotel with 233 keys, an 86,000 SF conference center, and a 58,000 SF retail arcade. Historic features, including a beam crane that is the centerpiece of the main conference center atrium and a paper press platform, which has been transformed into the main atrium's grand staircase that ascends to the second floor, were retained. The industrial steel framework throughout the hotel remains exposed to reflect the building's historic use as a paper mill.
