Located on the south side of downtown Columbus, the Barrett School is a 4-story stone and brick schoolhouse that was converted into 51 one- and two-bedroom apartment units. A large part of the site work was done by another architect, however we were in charge of the restoration of the 1898 School Building. This complex includes a leasing office, community room, and mail room. The old gymnasium on the 4th floor was converted to 6 two-story units. The units also exist inside historic classrooms. The project had a budget of $10 million dollars and covered 53,000 square feet.
