Here at Sandvick Architects, we take pride in our renovation skills. And so, we decided to bring these skills to the world of technology and renovate our online presence!
Here you will find exciting updates on our current projects, interesting historical findings on past projects, and current events in our office and the community!
The history of Sandvick Architects dates back to 1978, when our president, Jonathan Sandvick, first graduated from Kent State University with his Master's Degree of Architecture and took a job with Planning Resources, Inc. As Principal, Jonathan led the Architectural Department until 1990, when the department was then divided and formed a new firm, Zelina-Sandvick Architects, Inc.
Soon realizing that he wanted to fully commit to the mission of historic renovation and assisting the revitalization of downtowns and urban neighborhoods, Jonathan founded the firm that is now known today as Sandvick Architects, Inc. in 1994.
Since then, we have become nationally known for our expertise in the use of Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit, and have completed more tax credit projects than any other firm in Ohio. We are currently among the top firms in the nation in the number of tax credit projects we are completing. Additionally, we have pioneered innovative use of Historic Conservation Easements, providing critical financing for projects while ensuring that key historic elements are preserved for perpetuity.
We always have a lot of exciting things happening in our office with new projects and the discovery of fascinating historical stories about the buildings we interact with on a daily basis, and we can't wait to share it all with you!
